Description

The proposal aims to support the European Green Deal and EU climate policies by establishing an EU advisory network for forestry. This network will focus on sharing knowledge, fostering innovation, and addressing sustainability in forestry practices. The project expects to achieve several outcomes, including progress toward policy objectives, modernization of the forestry sector, engagement with regional policymakers, and the creation of resources to promote sustainable forest management. The proposal also outlines specific activities, such as connecting forestry advisors across EU Member States, sharing sustainable approaches, developing strategic visions, and integrating advisors into national agricultural knowledge systems. The project will run for at least five years and emphasize a multi-actor approach with forestry advisors playing a central role in implementation. Finally, the project will disseminate its findings through various channels, including the European Innovation Partnership and EU-wide knowledge reservoirs.
